Privacy Policy – Globetrail

This Privacy Policy describes how Aumatex SRLS, as data controller, manages data related to the Globetrail mobile app.

1. Data Controller

Globetrail requires no sign-up, no login and creates no account: name, email, phone number and location are never collected.
The app collects anonymous, aggregated usage data — which screens are opened, which features are used, whether an action succeeded — to understand how it is used and where it needs work.
This data is not linked to your identity and cannot be traced back to you.

Functional information is saved exclusively on the user's device and not transmitted to proprietary servers.
This includes: preferences (theme, language), travel progress (visited countries, wonders, UNESCO places), user preferences and cache data.
Data remains stored through standard iOS operating system mechanisms.

If the user enables backup/sync, data may be saved to the user's personal iCloud account via Apple infrastructure.
Aumatex SRLS does not have access to the user's iCloud data.
Backup is managed entirely by Apple according to Apple's privacy terms.

The app makes no network requests to Aumatex SRLS servers: we neither receive nor store your travel data.
The anonymous usage statistics described above are sent to TelemetryDeck.
The leaderboard is optional and goes through Game Center: if you use it, your score and Game Center alias are handled by Apple.
Sync and backup, when enabled, use your own iCloud account.

The app uses no advertising SDKs, performs no profiling and does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA): there is no advertising tracking and no tracking across apps or websites.
Usage statistics go through TelemetryDeck, an analytics service that uses no IDFA and derives a salted, non-reversible identifier.
Before leaving the device every event passes a filter that replaces names, emails, coordinates and typed search text: only coarse dimensions such as country or feature remain.

The app only uses permissions necessary for its features, controlled by iOS settings.
Any permission can be revoked by the user at any time from device settings.

No personal data processing is performed by Aumatex SRLS through the app.
For app functionality, the legal basis is the execution of pre-contractual or contractual measures (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
For iCloud backup, processing is governed by user settings and Apple's privacy terms.

Local data remains on the device until manual deletion, reset, or app uninstallation.
Retention of data on iCloud is controlled by the user's Apple account settings.
Aumatex SRLS does not retain such data on its systems.

Aumatex SRLS does not disclose users’ personal data to third parties through Globetrail.
TelemetryDeck processes the anonymous usage statistics on our behalf.
Apple processes iCloud data (sync and backup) and Game Center data under its own policies.

No transfer of personal data to Aumatex SRLS servers is planned.
Access to iCloud follows Apple's technical infrastructure; international transfers are governed by Apple's terms.

Users may exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and objection.
Requests should be sent to info@aumatex.it.
A complaint may be lodged with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
