Case Study
Magna Mater - Web-based interactive guide for the Colosseum Archaeological Park
A browser-based guided tour platform that turns an archaeological route into an immersive, accessible and scalable experience without native apps.

01 · The challenge
From exhibition to guided journey
A physical exhibition route requires instant orientation, contextual content and multilingual access without technical friction. The goal was to align physical space and digital content without forcing app downloads.
Delivered in 2025 as a one-year initiative, Magna Mater is a web-based interactive guide for the exhibition at the Colosseum Archaeological Park. The project was developed with SSABAP Rome, the Italian Ministry of Culture and the Institut National du Patrimoine Tunisien under the Mattei Plan.

02 · The solution
An immersive web experience, no download required
We designed a browser-based interactive guide with map navigation, geolocated points of interest, audio and editorial content, and guided flows for entry and language selection.
03 · Implementation
A parametric architecture built to scale
- Parametric architecture with one core system handling entry, language and route variants.
- Clear separation between content and application logic for faster centralized updates.
- Hybrid experience combining audio guide, museum app and digital storytelling with immediate access.

04 · Outcome
More clarity, engagement and time on site
- For visitors: clearer navigation, stronger engagement and longer visit duration.
- For cultural institutions: digital route management without native apps, with lower operational overhead.
- A reusable, multi-language and multi-route asset that scales without redesigning the core system.
